Financial Support Update for Evacuees - Lake George Wildfire

Friday, October 10

The Municipality of the County of Kings is working with the Government of Nova Scotia to ensure evacuees receiving provincial Lake George Wildfire Financial Support can collect their cheques locally.

Applicants will be contacted when cheques are available for pickup at the Municipal Office in Coldbrook (181 Coldbrook Village Park Drive). Please note that we do not expect the cheques to be available until Oct. 17 at the earliest.

Are you interested in receiving "Emergency Email Notifications" in advance of emergencies (Hurricanes, Blizzards, Flooding, Evacuation, etc.) that may impact Kings County and the surrounding area?

The Kings County Regional Emergency Management Coordinator (REMC) will send out an email to all those that are registered. To register, simply send an email to the following email address: REMO_KingsCounty@countyofkings.ca and request that your email address be added to the distribution list for future Emergency Email Notifications. Note that all emails are sent to subscribers as ‘bcc’ so that your email address will not be shared with other subscribers.
