Kings REMO would like to acknowledge the efforts of the Sault Ste Marie Innovation Centre (SSMIC) as a
contributing partner in the development of the Vulnerable Persons Registry. Without the cooperation of
the SSMIC this registry would not have been possible in Kings County.
The Vulnerable Persons Registry (VPR) is a free, voluntary and confidential service aimed at improving the safety of residents living at home who would be at greater risk during emergencies. The VPR improves safety by providing key information to emergency response teams in order to help them be more aware when addressing large scale emergencies.
This voluntary registry will provide Emergency Services with contact information, detailed physical descriptions and special needs of this individual. This information will assist officers in communicating with, attending a residence of, or dealing with an emergency involving this individual.
As the Parent/Guardian/Administrator/Substitute Decision Maker, or self-advocate, you will be requested to complete your information first. Next, you will be requested to complete information regarding the individual you are registering. The registry must be updated on an annual basis.
Online Registration takes approximately 15 minutes to complete. Once your registration information has been verified you will be contacted with your acceptance into the Registry. You can also download our VPR Registration Form and mail it in if you choose.
